You are invited to submit to Knockers an anthology that covers an intimate subject: womens breasts and what they have meant at different stages of life. Breasts are signatures of a womans sexuality and femininity; breasts come in thousands of shapes and sizes; breasts feed our babies; and breasts can cause agony or pleasure.
Thoughtful explorations, vivid memories, humor, poetry, fiction, and tales of loss and pain are all welcome. Looking for submissions that are blazingly honest, poignant, witty, provocative, edgy, inspiring, and revealing. Topics can range from early recollections of developing breasts and first brassieres, experiences with breast reduction or augmentation, breast cancer treatments, lumpectomies and mastectomies, nursing, and aging.
Knockers is an anthology that asks women: How do you feel about your breasts? This anthology will gather a diverse array of voices and is accepting personal essays, flash fiction, short stories, and poetry. Open to emerging and published writers.
Previously published submissions are fine, but Knockers will chiefly collect jottings that are published for the first time. There are no charges or costs to authors for participating in this anthology. Payment for accepted work has not yet been determined and each contributor will receive a copy of the anthology.
