The Breast Views Blog: Miss Information

Some people instantly laughed when they caught a glimpse of my name tag. Others tried to explain the double meaning to me, certain that I was clued out. One person was offended that I had not chosen Ms. Information.

Most definitely, my job as official staff person of the information table was greatly enhanced by this simple effort.

Very rich! I laughed at the visual before I got to the words. Then I laughed again when you shared how others felt a need to explain the double meaning to you. My name is Dalene. Seldom does anyone spell it correctly, but I have accepted that. However, one time, I was asked to fill out a form with my name, and when I finished neatly block printing my name, the lady taking the form pointed out that I had spelled my name wrong, I had forgot the R -- after the A. True story. You may have met her today, or her twin.

Dalene,

People who know everything are so interesting. I was getting a ride home from a guy one night, who would not let me direct him to my own house. He insisted he knew better than me how to get to the place where I'd been living for 15 years. When I pointed this out, he called ME a know-it-all.

Right then.
